Our experts provide this analysis to give you a clear overview of important features. This analysis does not impact the provider’s overall score, which is based on user ratings.

Website

Customers immediately land on the bookmaker, which adopts a blue, orange and white theme. The standard layout is used, with the list of sports down the left hand side of the page.

Punters can quickly access their desired market by using the search bar or can sort the sports by start time, using a sliding bar. The centre of the page lists a selection of live betting, top events and last minute football matches. Links to customer support and help can be found on the right hand side of the page, along with the bet slip.

in-depth data for a whole host of different sports

Rivalo Sports have incorporated a statistics section (powered by industry giants Betradar) into their website. It can be found at the bottom left of the page and gives in-depth data for a whole host of different sports, enabling customers to make more informed betting decisions. When looking at individual games, there are icons next to the odds, which indicate:

  • What percentage of Rivalo customers are betting on the different outcomes
  • The statistics for the game
  • Which TV channel the match can be found on
  • Whether there will be live betting for the game

This is quite comprehensive, and a nice touch which helps with the hunt for value.

When visiting the Rivalo website from a mobile device, customers are immediately redirected to a web app. A blue, grey, black and white theme is used and punters can access the sportsbook and a mobile casino. The app is intuitive and loads quickly.

Languages

Users can flick between different languages at the bottom right hand corner of the page.

The site can be translated into; English, German, Italian, French, Turkish, Russian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian) Serbian, and most recently Spanish as the site continues to grow in Latin America.

Markets

The variety of the sports offered by Rivalo is definitely reasonable. Obviously all of the major sports such as football, tennis, ice hockey, basketball and American football etc. are covered, but there are also odds for some smaller events, which receive less spotlight, such as bowls, table tennis, futsal and netball.

Football is naturally the most populous sport in terms of matches covered and depth of additional bets for each game, with 14,000+ individual bets on offer at the time of review.

In terms of countries covered, Rivalo excels, competing with the bookmaking elite for geographical reach. Odds are available for games from all over the globe, including less heralded football nations such as Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Honduras, Oman and Tunisia.

There are also prices for the English, Spanish, Turkish and German ‘amateur’ leagues, which is highly impressive. Perhaps the fact that odds are available for the lower leagues in Turkey (not one of the bigger domestic footballing countries in terms of depth or interest) is indicative of Rivalo’s focus on customers from the country.

Rivalo Sports offer an extensive ‘fantasy football’ section

On top of the usual football fixtures, Rivalo Sports offer an extensive ‘fantasy football’ section. This pits two teams who are playing different opponents, with the results decided by the number of goals scored respectively by the two teams.

For instance, one of the fantasy matches is Everton v Villarreal CF. If Everton won their game 3-1 and Villarreal CF won their match 2-0, then Everton would win the fantasy match 3-2. This provides an original alternative to conventional football betting.

The number of additional bet types for football matches is well below average. Three days out from the English Premier League Saturday matches, there were only 28 additional bet types per game. Firms such as BetVictor and Bet365 typically have 75+, and William Hill even more.

Ice hockey has the second largest number of bets, which around 800 the standard at anyone time. There are prices for games from 14 countries on top of international competitions. Interestingly, handball is the third most popular sport, which 600+ bets usually available. There are matches from 20 different countries, with around 10 additional bets per match on top of 1X2 betting, commonplace.

Rivalo’s virtual sports betting market has come on leaps and bounds. They recently offered a Euro Challenge during Euro 2016, where over €20k worth of prizes were given away including all expenses paid trips to the finals.

Odds

Betting odds represent a percentage chance of an outcome occurring. If the bookmaker had no inbuilt profit margin, then all of the sum of all of the odds for a particular event would equate to 100%. Obviously bookmakers have to make a profit, so the markets are very rarely 100%, but the closer to that figure, the more better for punters.

Below is a list of Rivalo’s different total book percentages for different football competitions across Europe:

  • English Premier League matches – 105-105.5%
  • English Championship matches – 106-107%
  • Italian Serie A – 105-105.5%
  • Spanish La Liga – 105-105.5%
  • Turkish Super Lig – 104.7-107%

The margins do not differ much by league and are reasonable, but not outstanding by any means. The odds fall in line with major firms such as Ladbrokes, Coral and SkyBet.

In other sports, basketball matches across the world usually work to 108-108.5%, handball fixtures to 109-110% and ice hockey 107.5-108.5%.

Promotions

Rivalo offer customers a 100% matched first deposit bonus up to R$500. The bonus is only available for customers residing in SwitzerlandLuxembourg, Norway, Finland, Montenegro and Turkey, with minimum odds of 2.00 for the selections.

There is also a concession for accumulators, which is based on a sliding scale, with 5-9 folds receiving a 5% bonus, all the way up to 25% for 25+ folds (very few people have bets with this many selections).

Payment Methods

Rivalo provide a range of different payment options that can be found on the right hand side of this page. Primarily a R$ site, they offer a number of alternative currencies including Euro, USD, CHF and Peso.

Customer Service

Customers can use an online form to send in their queries, or alternatively there is a live chat feature. Rivalo do not provide any telephone numbers of addresses for other forms of communications, however.

Overall

There are definitely some solid aspects to Rivalo Sports’ service and football and handball punters in particular could benefit from getting an account with the firm.

Their geographic coverage of both sports is very good, and although there could be more depth on individual matches, the majority of customers will be looking at the win markets. Their excellent software and added Virtual Betting excitement makes it a pleasurable experience betting at this bookmaker.

We highly recommended Rivalo sportsbook to our Brazilian followers, because there’s no better or safer option in the market.
