Back Internazionale to leapfrog Italian Serie A’s other unbeaten team, Napoli, at the top of the ladder by registering a home victory over Torino on Sunday.
Eleven rounds into the Italian Serie A competition and Internazionale and Torino have faced seven of the same sides – Roma, Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Bologna, Crotone, Verona and Benevento. According to one’s Italian Serie A collateral form analysis, Internazionale boasts a 5-2-0 edge over Torino so one is comfortable backing Inter at odds on.
Internazionale is 5-0-0 at home in Italian Serie A and it does not have the inconvenience of competing in a UEFA tournament this term, either. Torino is ninth on the Italian Serie A ladder and the results of the Maroons can be summed up thus: they have not beaten a higher ranked team and they have not lost to a lower ranked team. Internazionale is second and it is undefeated even though it has already visited two genuine title contenders, Napoli and Roma.
Last season’s corresponding Italian Serie A fixture resulted in a 2-1 success for Internazionale and, with the Black and Blues operating at higher level this term, one has no hesitation in headlining Luciano Spalletti’s charges at -196 with Jetbull.
The draw is the outsider of the three options in Sunday’s Italian Serie A game between Fiorentina and Roma at +260 with Jetbull and one thinks that it should be shorter odds in the circumstances.
For an Italian Serie A match in Florence, one thinks that there should not be much difference between Fiorentina and Roma in the betting but the latter is a firm favourite. Fiorentina and Roma have encountered eight identical Italian Serie A sides and, according to one’s collateral form analysis, the Purples trail the Yellow and Reds 2-2-4 but those numbers even out themselves for a game in Florence.
Neither Fiorentina nor Roma has overcome a higher ranked Italian Serie A team – the Purples have lost at home to Sampdoria and slumped to defeats at Internazionale and Juventus, while the Yellow and Reds have crashed at home to Napoli and Internazionale. The draw makes more appeal than either Fiorentina or Roma so it is one’s second Italian Serie A selection. Something has to give: Fiorentina has lost just two of its last 25 Italian Serie A home matches, whereas Roma has won 11 top-flight away games on the spin.
Juventus and Lazio are justifiably short odds to get the better of Benevento and Udinese respectively but one’s third Italian Serie A pick is Cagliari to draw with Verona in Sunday’s match between the sides ranked 14th and 19th.
One has a problem with Cagliari being odds-on to defeat Verona and that stems from one’s Italian Serie A collateral form analysis. Cagliari and Verona have had six common Italian Serie A foes – Napoli, Lazio, Torino, Chievo, Crotone and Benevento – and, according to one’s number crunching, the Red and Blues trail Hellas 1-3-2. Moreover, both Cagliari and Verona have only beaten Italian Serie A sides positioned below them on the ladder so that is another reason why one does not want to back either teams when the draw is freely available at relatively attractive odds of +260 with BetVictor.
