Internazionale to Beat Atalanta Black and Blue

November 17, 2017

Inter Milan are only two points off the top of Serie A.

Internazionale has barely put a foot wrong in Italian Serie A and one of the league’s two unbeaten teams rates as the best bet in the 13th round of championship matches.

The Italian Serie A title race is shaping up as the best in years and Internazionale is right in the thick of it having started off with a 9-3-0 record, including a 0-0 draw at top-of-the-ladder Napoli. Inter’s next Italian Serie A opponent is Atalanta on Sunday and the Goddess have won, drawn and lost games in equal measure – four of each.

Internazionale and Atalanta have encountered eight of the same Italian Serie A opponents – Napoli, Roma, Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Bologna, Crotone, SPAL and Verona – and, according to one’s collateral form analysis, the Black and Blues enjoy a 5-1-2 advantage over the Goddess. Inter was always going to find itself in odds-on territory to post an Italian Serie A home win over Atalanta but one thinks that the Black and Blues are not sufficiently short at 1.75  with Bet365. It does not hurt one’s confidence that the last clash between Inter and Atalanta resulted in a 7-1 Italian Serie A home victory for the former in which two players scored hat-tricks.

Torino is higher than Chievo on the Italian Serie A ladder but one is far from convinced that the Maroons are superior to the Flying Donkeys. Torino is eighth compared to Chievo’s 11th but the fact is that the Maroons have not beaten any of the top 11 sides, whereas the Flying Donkeys have recorded a win over Fiorentina, which is ranked ninth currently.

According to one’s Italian Serie A collateral form analysis, Juventus, Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Udinese, Cagliari, Sassuolo and Verona are the seven common foes of Torino and Chievo, with the Flying Donkeys boasting a 4-1-2 edge over the Maroons. Betting is all about obtaining value and one is positive that Chievo should not be odds against to get something – either a win or a draw – out of its Sunday showdown versus Torino so back the double chance at 2.0  with 888Sport.

Another Italian Serie A match in which the favourite is too short with bookmakers is Sunday’s game between Sampdoria and Juventus – it is insulting to Samp that Juve are trading at odds of around 1.50 . Win, lose or draw, Sampdoria represent value against a Juventus team that bookmakers must think that punters will support irrespective of its odds.

Milan, Torino, Fiorentina, Atalanta, Chievo, Udinese, Genoa and Benevento are the eight sides which both Sampdoria and Juventus have faced in Italian Serie A action. According to one’s Italian Serie A collateral form analysis, Sampdoria trails Juventus 2-3-3 so one concedes that Samp is not quite up to the same standard as Juve but the betting market on one of the matches of the Italian Serie A round is wrong.

One’s suggestion is to back Sampdoria either to win or draw its Italian Serie A home game versus Juventus at 2.6  with Bet365 but there is value on several Samp-flavoured handicaps, including them receiving a two-goal head start. One would rather back Sampdoria plus two goals than Juventus to win and those options are trading at pretty much the same odds.
