Our experts provide this analysis to give you a clear overview of important features. This analysis does not impact the provider’s overall score, which is based on user ratings.

Website

The website is very similar to most of the top, established bookmakers, insofar as they have the list of sports down the left hand side of the page, live and popular events in the middle and the bet slip and promotions down the right hand side of the page.

Users can flick between sports, live betting, virtual action and e-sports at the top of the page, and can also check out the current promotions and look at the payment options available. NextBet bookmaker adopts a two tone blue and gold theme, with clear text and well-spaced out links.

The company behind NextBet are veterans in the online bookmaker sphere

Everything is very professional and the site is easy to navigate around. The company behind NextBet are veterans in the online bookmaker sphere, so as you would expect, everything is user friendly.

A nice extra touch is the statistics section, which is powered by Betradar. Here, clients can research trends and information that can help them making more informed betting decisions.

For some football matches, bettors can access graphics which give updates on possession, yellow cards, goals, shots, etc. For users who want to follow how a match is progressing, this is a fantastic feature.

Bonuses

NextBet offer a healthy bonus system for their clients, providing a 100% matched bonus up to a maximum of MYR 388 (roughly £70). Users will be automatically credited with the bonus when they make their first deposit into a new account. The bonus wagering requirements are quite tough – 12 x bonus + deposit at odds of 1.50 are required.

For example, if the initial deposit is MYR 100, then the rollover requirements are 100+100 x 12 = MYR 2400.  Wagering requirements can be found in the My Account page.

There are some other concessions and enhanced offers available such as 20% reload bonuses, rebates and rescue bonuses, allowing customers to take out a 5.88% bonus of their last week’s net losses (why they chose 5.88%, who knows!). Overall the number and value of concessions has to be rated as good, even if the rollover requirements are a little tough on the customers.

Sports Markets & Odds

NextBet bookmaker offers a grand total of 26 different sports for customers to get their teeth stuck into. There is a good mix of different disciplines and events and NextBet have all of the most popular sports covered.

As an Asian-facing website, NextBet have predictably put their focus on football, with a large number of countries and leagues covered.

In total, clients can bet on games from 40 different countries around the world, with some of the lesser known footballing nations of Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Gibraltar all present on the list. English football is the most popular to bet on and the bookmaker compiles odds on matches all the way down to the eighth tier (Isthmian League).

NextBet bookmaker don’t really offer an obscure sports, but there is a dedicated e-sports section, with games such as StarCraftDota and League of Legends all included. The North European market is catered for, with ice hockey and handball odds.

NextBet have predictably put their focus on football

Asian bettors tend to have a good grasp of percentages and probabilities and the three most popular bet types in the Eastern countries are 1X2, handicap betting and over/unders. These bet types usually provide the lowest margins and highest returns for bettors in the long run. As such, all football matches have odds for the aforementioned bet types, in addition to extra bets (prop bets, correct score, etc).

The number of additional markets doesn’t compare to the established European bookmakers (55 for Premier League matches, compared to 122 offered by Bet365), but most of NextBet bookmaker’s business comes from the handicap and overs/unders markets.

One of the main positives about NextBet bookmaker is their betting odds – punters can access some of the most competitive odds in the industry when signing up for an account with the Asian bookmaker.

Top level football games are priced up to 103%, tennis matches to 104.5%, basketball 104% and NFL 106.1% (the closer to 100%, the more competitive the odds). Barring the NFL, the odds for each sport are comparable with pretty much any bookmaker in the world.

Currency

Users can deposit into their NextBet bookmaker account using a variety of different currencies:

  • IDR: Indonesian Rupiah
  • THB: Thai Baht
  • RMB: Chinese Yuan
  • KRW: South Korean Won

Banking Options

Customers can deposit into their NextBet account using a few different methods:

  • Easternpay88
  • ZhuPay
  • LionCash
  • JadeTeller
  • Local Bank Transfer

There is no option to pay with debit/credit cards. This is because in many of the countries that NextBet serve, online betting is banned, or heavily restricted. Therefore, often bettors rely on giving money to agents to fund their accounts, or alternatively they use an anonymous bank transfer.

Restricted Countries

NextBet bookmaker has limited sign ups to a select number of Asian countries:

  • China
  • Indonesia
  • South Korea
  • Malaysia
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

There is no option for citizens of any other country to sign up on the registration page.

Languages/Customer Support

The website can be viewed in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese and Indonesian and there are customer service representatives who are able to converse with customers in all of those languages.

Customers can reach NextBet via live chat, e-mail and telephone. Live chat and the phone service is available from 12:00 P.M. and 04:30 A.M. (GMT+8).

Customer services are responsive and helpful. Bettors are also able to contact NextBet bookmaker on WeChat and Whatsapp.

Mobile App

NextBet have a mobile optimized site that automatically loads when accessed from a handheld device. The site follows the same colour scheme, and has all of the same options as the main site.

It is easy to flick between the sports and markets, and clients can even live chat with representatives from their phone.

SBO Verdict

NextBet bookmaker is a very smooth running, professional output with a well-designed website and attractive odds. The firm don’t offer anything too fancy and focus on the 1X2, Asian Handicap and overs/unders markets that are so popular in Asia. With their bookmaker, NextBet tick many boxes.

The only gripes are that the service is only available to clients in a select number of countries and the rollover requirements on the bonuses are fairly big and difficult to obtain. NextBet come highly recommended for the serious bettor.
