Colourful and Bit Gimmicky but Still Delivers

BetElexus bookmaker is part of the stable of sites that goes for broke in terms of colour and eye-catching graphics. There’s no messing about and not much subtlety and it all begins on the home page with its revolving ads, selling the site’s wares. Once you make your way to the sports betting pages, the sensory overload is toned down a bit, and, a few colourful in-house ads aside, it actually has quite a classy look and feel to it, with some snazzy gold and blue text set off nicely against a black background. It looks good.

The bookie is set out in the traditional three-column layout – one familiar to all punters – with the right-hand column also being used by BetElexus to promote some of their betting services.

In keeping with other sites from this same group, BetElexus offer a wide and generous range of promotions and bonuses. A real effort has been made to entice new customers to the site and to reward existing ones.

As always, we’ll not be too specific as these are subject to change, but what we can say is that at the time of this review, there were a total of seven different promotions available to users of their sportbook.

These range from a very good 100% welcome bonus through to a generous 50% bonus for ‘combined bets’, both of which are of course subject to the usual terms and conditions. All in all, very satisfactory.

Massive Selection of Sports – And Plenty of Depth!

BetElexus bookmaker goes big on the number of sports they offer their customers and are up there with the best. Clearly the actual number fluctuates on a seasonal basis but at the time of the review there were 32 sports available, ranging from the obvious to the obscure. In addition, they offer a range of ‘special bets’ and a range of Esports for the gamers. The full list is here:

Their soccer coverage is by far their biggest, and their coverage takes in a staggering 70 countries worldwide, ranging from the tiny, like Azerbaijan and Guatemala, to the giants like England, Spain, Germany and Italy. They also include some amateur leagues from Turkey, Germany and England, and in addition cover international football, and continental club tournaments.

Their blanket coverage of the beautiful game includes a phenomenal number of markets, with games in the big leagues and competitions being offered to the customer with over 180 markets.

Ice hockey and handball are also given exhaustive coverage on the site, with the former taking in league from 16 different countries, with most games available with 48 markets. Handball covers leagues from 16 countries, mostly in Europe, and many games are offered with 20+ markets.

For live betting, they offer their customers something quite exceptional. While there is no live streaming, they offer one of the best live match trackers available on the web, which is the next best thing to watching the action unfold live. While it is only available for betting to punters who have registered with the site, it is headed by a large live action graphic that literally gives a blow by blow account of the action as it happens, with a ball tracker and text commentary that allows the bettor to get a feel for the flow of the game.

Below the graphic is a vast array of bets with ever-changing odds, that can be used to place a bet with a single click. We tested it out for a Europa League game and it really is very good indeed.

Once we were content with the quality of the live betting, we checked out some technical stuff, like the value of the bets on offer, and we continued to be impressed. We tested their soccer odds in terms of the percentage to which they compile them and at an average of 102.8%, they too are up there with the best available on the web.

To give it some context, a bet compiled to 100% would offer the bookmaker a zero-profit margin and so the closer to 100% the odds the tighter their margin and better the bet for the punter. Within the betting industry, it’s generally accepted that odds compiled to between 105% and 106% are acceptable, and so for BetElexus to compile theirs to 102.8% was very good indeed.

Betting on the Go Is Good with BetElexus!

They have no iOS or Android apps available, but what they do have is a site that has been configured to translate nicely to a smartphone, tablet or phablet. And it works beautifully. Not for the first time, we’re tempted to say the mobile version is as good if not better than the desktop equivalent. Unlike some of their rivals, whose mobile offering is a refined mini-version of the desktop site, BetElexus bookmaker have redesigned it for mobile to good effect. It can be accessed on a mobile browser using Google Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer.

We’ve been careful not to include the minimum and maximum limits as they are managed by BetElexus on an individual-by-individual basis.

The site defaults to Turkish but also translates nicely to English, Russian, Georgian and Arabian. The currency used is either Turkish lira or Euro.

We found no problems with BetElexus with regard to safety and security, and there was nothing found in our review to ring any alarm bells. As always, we did an online search in case there was anything untoward, but it revealed no issues.

We had a reasonable experience with their Live Chat although it’s not available 24/7 as stated, but their customer services does extend to an email helpline (support@betelexus.com) and they also have an extensive list of FAQs.

Our Verdict

We actually quite liked BetElexus bookmaker and, although we’re wary of sites who use garish colouring and gimmicks to cover up a lack of substance, there is in fact something solid and reliable on offer here.

They offer their customers a really good live betting experience and their variety of sports on offer is up there with the best on the web. So too are their odds, which compile to a very impressive 102.8%
