Love Island 2019 – The Story so Far

What an emotional rollercoaster Love Island 2019 has been for both islanders and viewers.

Things started with a bang when we were introduced to six beautiful ladies. They got to step forward for six hunky males who entered the villa one at a time. After numerous re-coupling’s, lots of tears and new additions to the Do Bits Society (DBS), let’s take a brief look at some highlight of the series.

If you watch Love Island religiously, then you’ll know that it has been a series of love triangles. Lucie Donlan originally coupled up with Joe Garratt before Tyson Fury’s younger brother, Tommy chose to be in a couple with her a day later.

She then re-coupled with Joe during the first re-coupling, before confessing her true feelings to Tommy. It was too late by this stage though, as boxer Tommy had already developed feelings for Molly-Mae Hague.

Things were even messier between Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard. The ballroom dancer broke Amy’s heart after admitting that he had developed feelings for Jordana Hames at Casa Amor. This led to the couple splitting and Irish girl Maura Higgins turning his head.

A heartbroken Amy then left the villa. However, Essex girl Francesca Allen chose to couple up with Curtis before Maura had a chance.

At the time of this writing, the current Love Island couples are Tommy and Molly-Mae, Michael and Joanna, Anton and Belle, Jordan and Anna, Chris and Maura, Curtis and Francesca, Ovie and Amber.

Love Island Final 2019 Date

Don’t make any plans for the evening of 29th July. ITV2 has confirmed that this will be the date of the Love Island 2019 final. It’s going to be a very emotional ending, so you might want to stock up on a box of tissues.

The winning couple will then face the decision of splitting or stealing the £50,000 prize money. This means that you only have under two weeks to take advantage of free bet offers for Love Island. So, claim your free bet at one of our recommended bookies and back your favourite couple today.

Who Are the Favourites for Love Island 2019?

Who will win Love Island 2019? If the latest Love Island odds are anything to go by, Tommy and Molly-Mae look nailed on to scoop the £50,000 prize money this year. The villa’s only ‘official’ couple have said that they love each other, and bookmakers have made them heavy favourites to be the winning pair. We must admit that we can’t see any other outcome.

The Love Island winner bet odds for Tommy and Molly-Mae are far too short to have a punt, though. Therefore, we thought it would be a good idea to look at couples who could upset the red-hot favourites. Curtis and Maura aren’t even a couple, but could their undoubted connection help them become the show’s latest winners? Only time will tell.

Tommy and Molly-Mae also lead the way when it comes to Love Island betting markets for top boy and girl. There has been a trend for the winning couple scooping each of these respective titles. Last year, Jack Fincham was crowned top boy and his partner Dani Dyer claimed the title of top girl. No matter who wins Love Island 2019, let’s hope their relationship lasts longer than last year’s winners.

“Next to leave” is another hot betting market for Love Island. This market is ever changing as the show is so unpredictable, but there are some interesting bets available.

Love Island History

Love Island sees a group of male and female contestants move into a sumptuous villa in Mallorca, Spain. The islander’s couple up with the person who they have the strongest connection with, in the hope of finding love – and pocketing a share of the £50,000 prize on offer for the winning couple.

Throughout each series, new islanders enter the villa hoping to turn heads and create some drama. There are also frequent re-couplings, which give islanders the opportunity to stay in their current couple or choose someone else to couple up with. Viewers decide which couples are eliminated, although there are often some twists that require fellow islanders to make the decision instead.

The first series of Love Island as we know and love it aired launched on 7th June 2015. This series introduced us to a total of 23 islanders, with Jessica Hayes and Max Morley claiming victory.

Love Island 2015 was a revival of Celebrity Love Island, which aired for just two series (2005 and 2006). The Celebrity Love Island cast included the likes of Bianca Gascoigne and Calum Best, but neither series captured the heart of the nation. Social media has certainly played its part in the ITV2 show becoming so popular, coupled with the fact that islanders are members of the public.
