365Gold Bookmaker Review

Not Approved by SBO.net

365Gold Summary

365Gold is one of the betting sites operated by Blue Bird N.V. It is registered, licensed and regulated by the laws of Curacao, but also operates with links to Malta, where its payments are processed. It’s a new site – set up as recently as 2017. It’s predominantly aimed at Italian punters and defaults to the Italian language but, via a toggle, is just one click away from a fluent English version. In addition to sports betting – the section we’re interested in – they also offer betting on live sports, a traditional online casino, a live casino, poker and some virtual betting.

365Gold doesn’t come highly recommended so check out some of our top-rated bookmakers instead.

Bonuses? Hhmm

The header tells the story. There are none, at least not at the time of this review. Their customer services team did suggest there will be some in the future, and evidently, some already exist for the casino and poker rooms, but as things stand we were left disappointed and unable to report a single bonus or promotion.

Given that welcome bonuses are a recognised way of getting customers ‘through the door’ we found this more than a little surprising, but they’re a new site so maybe there will be some further down the line. For now, though, nothing to report.

Familiar Maybe, but Still a Good-Looking Site

The lack of bonuses was, of course, disappointing but a close look at 365Gold and its functionality revealed a site that is not without quality. First of all, it looks good but behind the good looks is no shortage of good stuff.

The site’s homepage is quite striking and comprises four full-page rotating ads which, at the time of this review, advertised betting for footballbaseballtennis and their casino. It looks good and achieves its objective of luring you into the site to investigate further.

But it’s the sports betting we’re interested in, and a click on the ‘Sports’ heading takes us through to something that, for regular bettors, has a familiar look. The look and tone of the page is in sync with the homepage and works well – neither too garish nor too crowded – and fits nicely with the traditional three-column layout they have adopted.

As per normal, the left sidebar is used to list the betting sports on offer, with the numbers of events available indicated against each line. The exact number and variety of sports is something we’ll come onto later but it’s a nicely designed column that defaults to a sport-by-sport listing, which then drills down to another one or two levels, depending on the type of sport.

For example, if we use football, one click on the football icon opens a list – still within the sidebar – which is predominantly based on countries and continents, but at the top are listed some ‘specials’ along with options for international teams, international football and specific competitions like the UEFA Champions League. The specials are, as you’d expect, a range of fun bets, but if you click on a country (or continent) you open a sub-menu that lists the leagues available in your chosen category. Only when you’ve drilled down to the base level of your category does it fill the main body of the page with the betting data.

We’ll examine what betting information they provide shortly, but first of all, it’s worth noting there is a very smart way of narrowing down the date of the event you wish to bet on. At the top of the left sidebar is a gauge that allows you to choose the day of the week and also, if betting on same-day events, whether the start time is within one, three, six, nine or twelve hours.

Once a league and a date/time has been selected, a single click opens up the main body of the page with all the betting information you would expect from a quality sports betting site for either the games on that day or, if there are none, the next batch of matches. It’s presented in the form of a list with fixtures detailed on a line-by-line basis.

Each fixture is offered in a single line with some standard information and bets – date of fixture, the three-way bet, double chance, draw no bet and over under 2.5 goals – with a number at the end of the line which, if clicked on, lists all of the different bets and markets available for that fixture. The odds default to decimal form and on the same line is a stats icon, which takes the customer to a page provided by Sportradar, where there are statistics galore relating to that fixture.

For live games, they offer their customers a single line of odds with no stats or graphics to support the in-game action – a rarity these days on sports betting sites. While there is no reason to assume there will be a live stream, most sports betting sites fill this void with a match tracker of some description. It’s not a major deficiency, but those whose go-to form of betting is a live game will be disappointed.

The main body of the page defaults to listings of upcoming football fixtures, with what they deem to be the big game of the day being offered a colourful graphic at the top of the page with an array of data and stats.

The right-hand column follows the traditional norm, with the betting slip at the top, which is followed by a listing of ‘Latest Results’, showing the final scores and starting prices of games that have most recently finished.

All in all, we like the layout and design and, more importantly, the functionality works nicely.

Plenty of Markets for the Discerning Punter

365Gold offer a good range of sports while avoiding the pitfall of trying to encompass every single sport, as many of their competitors do. Instead, they concentrate on a carefully selected range which enables them to offer a wider variety and a greater depth of bets. In total, at the time of the review, they were offering 17 sports:

Within those selected 17 sports they are able to go big and offer their customers some excellent in-depth coverage, covering all the big competitions that you would expect, but also many low-level events that most fans will be unaware of until they appear as a betting option. To use football as the obvious example, they cover the biggest and best leagues – UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, Spanish Primera Division, German Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Italian Serie A etc – but also many of the lesser known leagues in, for example, Estonia, Bolivia, Jordan and Kuwait.

They also offer some top quality coverage of the big American Sports – the NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL – and they go big on the world’s top tennis competitions – US Open, Wimbledon, French Open, WTA tour, Davis Cup etc – with some in-depth coverage of basketball and ice hockey beyond the big American leagues and, not surprisingly for an Italian site, they cover rugby union particularly well.

While we were unimpressed with 365Gold’s lack of bonuses and promotions, we were most definitely impressed with the value of the odds they offer! With the industry standard being generally recognised as odds compiled between 105% and 106%, the fact they mostly hovered just over the 104% mark is really excellent and up there with the best on offer on the web.

Prefer to Bet on the Go? No Problem

As you would expect, 365Gold is a fully optimized mobile site and so if you prefer betting on the go – either on a smartphone or a tablet – you will find an excellent configuration that displays the same information as the desktop site, which translates perfectly to English (and we assume the other languages available). It works equally well for both iOS and Android and offers a good betting experience in terms of navigation, responsiveness and design. There are no apps available at the present time but given that the mobile optimization works very nicely this in not a major problem. They also can be accessed via Facebook and Twitter.

Depositing? Withdrawing? – Not a Problem

Cash-out is an automated process on 365Gold, so, in the normal scheme of things, they operate at the acceptable end of the scale – pay-outs generally being processed within 24 hours. At the time of this review, there were no negative comments online regarding 365Gold, which is always a good sign.

Italian Facing but Euro-Friendly

The site is aimed initially at the Italian market and so has Italian as its base language, but has a ‘toggle’ for English, Spanish, Turkish, Greek, Romanian, Macedonian and Albanian, and translates nicely. It uses Euro as its base currency and, of course, defaults to Euro when funds are deposited through PayPal.

Better still, there are no restricted countries, and their customer services team confirmed that if you can access the site and provide all of the information required to set up an account then you can bet on the site, and that includes punters from the US and UK.

Safe and Secure. What More Can You Ask

A good gauge of a site’s reliability and security is a quick online search and so it’s a very positive sign that there was absolutely no negativity to be found

We’re also happy to report that our engagement with their customer services team was excellent. The live chat facility was good, and they answered all of our queries efficiently, succinctly and quickly. There is also an email address (info@bluebird-nv.com) where customers can send any questions or queries.

Unlike some of their competitors, 365Gold do take their responsible gambling duties seriously and devote a section at the foot of the site to the subject. They stress how they want their customers to have fun with their betting but to not ever stretch themselves beyond their means.

They encourage the use of self-imposed gambling limits, which they are happy to help enforce, and ask that customers who believe they are showing signs of having a problem to contact their customer services team at the earliest possible opportunity

Our Verdict

Clearly, we were disappointed at the lack of bonuses and promotions on offer, but were delighted to discover the excellent value available on 365Gold, which was there for every single market that we tested. It’s hard to overestimate quite how impressive odds that compile to around 104% really are, and on this score, only their fellow Blue Bird NV sites come close to offering similar value.

In addition, the site itself is a really good one, with a design that’s both pleasing on the eye and possesses some tidy functionality.

365Gold lacks the quality of our top-rated betting sites, so click below for our most recommended bookies.
