1.40 Catterick – Glenrowan Rose
Keith Dalgleish’s 2 year old Bushranger filly has a very strong chance of going one better than on debut run at Catterick, and looks value at 47/25 2.88 +188 1.88 1.88 -0.53
Slowly away and green in rear, Dalgleish’s juvenile looked to be running in line with her 33/1 34.00 +3300 33.00 33.00 -0.03 odds, but under an educational ride, she began to get the hang of things, and when switched to the outside, picked up in eye catching fashion, passing all of the field apart from the well placed Johnston horse. The experience will clearly not be lost on her and there should be bags of improvement from that run. Her odds that day suggested that the filly was not ready, and there only look to be a handful of realistic market rivals in this race.
Horse has only been off the track for 7 days, but that should be viewed as a positive coming from the yard – Dalgleish’s 7 day returners are 58/283 (20.49%) for £69.52 LSP, giving an A/E of 1.32. There are two fairly interesting newcomers in the form of Highly Strung and Barbarous Relic, but they will have to be fairly useful to get past Glenrowan Rose.
