Website

The DOXX Bet Bookmaker landing page is utilises several flashy graphics to grab the customers’ attention. Most images are pertaining to the chunky casino bonuses and promotions, with little mention of the bookmaker. When customers click on the ‘betting’ tab located at the top of the page, they are redirected to all the sports action.

A red, black, white and grey theme is used, with clear fonts and adequate spacing. On the left hand side of the page sits a useful search bar so customers can access individual bets quickly. There is also the option to view sports starting within the next 1 hour/2 hour/6 hour etc. time period. The list of sports sits down the left hand side of the page, with last minute bets and popular bets displayed in the centre of the page. A frustrating aspect of the site and an area for improvement from a design perspective, is when a customer clicks upon a sport to open up the submarkets, the drop down list remains open when navigating to another event. This can create a long menu bar populated with a large number of different sports, leagues and markets, which can be confusing.

The betting slip is on the right hand side of the page and there is an extensive statistics section powered by market leaders Betradar. The depth of the data is impressive and there are a wide range of sports covered.

When accessing the website from a mobile device, customers are given the option to view the site in conventional mode or in a specially designed web app. The default language is Slovakian which can make it a little difficult to comprehend the different options and find where the site can be changed. The graphics on the website are well put together and a list of live and upcoming sports are present on the home screen.

Languages

The website can be viewed in English, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, Slovenian, Greek, Bulgarian and Russian. A strong Eastern European influence can be seen.

Markets

DOXX Bet’s coverage of sports is reasonable, with all of the mainstream and popular disciplines and some of the more niche events listed. In total there are 19 different sports with martial arts, bandy, floorball and table tennis making up some of the more rarely found markets.

Football coverage is moderate at best. There major leagues from around Europe are listed but it is hard to know exactly how far the odds compilation expands geographically, as it appears their modus operandi is to only list the countries and leagues when there are forthcoming game. The English football scene extends to the Conference Premier – the fifth tier of the pyramid. There is no ante-post betting for any of the top leagues around Europe – only the Slovak and Czech leagues have odds for who will win their respective titles.

The market depth is quite poor, with an average of around 25 additional bet types for games in the top leagues in Europe. Most respectable betting firms have between 30-100 extra markets for each game.

There are basketball odds from 11 different countries in the world, including Brazil and Argentina – two countries that many bookmakers neglect. Most games offer 1X2, Asian handicap and totals.

Odds

The odds that DOXX Bet Bookmaker offer for football are far from competitive. Looking at matches from the top five leagues across Europe (England, Germany, Spain, Italy and France), the odds were all compiled to a 108.1% book percentage. If the bookmaker had no inbuilt profit margin in their odds, then the total of the odds when expressed as percentages would equate to 100%. To put this into context, the most competitive firms in the industry (BetVictor and Bet365) work to a 102.5-103.5% book and most other firms tend to operate in the 104-106.5% region.

Interestingly, the basketball and tennis are compiled to the same 108.1% as football, but the handball odds offer less value, working to 112.3% books.

The area where DOXX Bet do best is the American football. The odds compilers work to 105.3% for the popular American sport, which is still worse than all of the major firms – William Hill (103.6%), Bet365 and Ladbrokes (104.4%), but is closer than the football betting.

Promotions

The bookie does offer a sign up bonus of 50% up to €150/£100 for new customers. However, this offer is only available to a limited number of countries:

Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech, Finland, Germany, Hungary (40000 HUF), Ireland, Kazakhstan, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Russia, Ukraine and Brazil.

Major betting nations such as the UK, Germany and France are not eligible for the offer.

The requirements to free the bonus are quite stringent. The deposit plus the bonus needs to be rolled over 10 times and must be placed on selections with odds of 2.0 or bigger. The deposit is considered to be the same size as the bonus, and therefore if a customer claims the maximum bonus of € 150 by depositing €300, then they will need to turn over an equivalent of €3000 (150+150 x 10) before they can withdraw the bonus.

To qualify for the bonus, customers must make a deposit within 7 days of opening their account and must claim their bonus within 60 days.

Customer Services

The customer services department at DOXX Bet Bookmaker is more than reasonable. In addition to an online contact form, customers are also able to email the company at info.en@doxxbet.com and call in at +421 903 488 (manned 08.00-22.00). There is also a live chat function, although this is online 24 hours a day. Those who wish to correspond can write to them at:

DOXX Bet Ltd.,
93, TRIQ SANTA MARIJA SLIEMA,
SLM 1103,
Malta

DOXX Bet Bookmaker appear to be more transparent and accessible than many of their peers when it comes to customer service, and this must be applauded.

Payment Types

There are several payment methods that customers can use to fund their accounts.

The Bookmaker accepts Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard and Maestro credit/debit card. There is a 2% charge for using these cards which is off putting.

Skrill and Neteller are two e-wallets that can be used and they are free, so this is the preferred method for many customers.

A Paysafe card can be used, but there is a 3% fee, and bank transfers are also available free of charge for transactions of £10 or more. Direct wires from bank accounts are processed from 07.00 to 22.00 daily.

The list of payment types is reasonable, but it is unusual to have charges on deposits and this is likely to deter many new customers.

Overall

DOXX Bet seem to primarily aim their business at customers in Eastern Europe, with the languages and sports appearing to be tailored to the tastes of those from this region. Their website is solid with only a few minor glitches and the list of sports is reasonable. A large sign up bonus can be obtained, but naturally it is quite difficult to extract and there are only a limited number of countries who are eligible to claim it. The odds on football are poor in comparison to most major firms, whilst the American football offerings are a little better. For the recreational punter there is no harm in having an account as they are well established and seem a legitimate operation.
