Toto2 Bookmaker Review

Not Approved by SBO.net

Toto2 Summary

Toto2 bookmaker is a Scandinavian facing betting site. It was founded in Sweden with a view to offering the natives a safe, simple, and modern platform for their online betting, but is now registered and licensed under Maltese regulations and also in Curacao. Their focus on Swedish trotting (harness racing) is something that sets them apart from most other betting sites.

In addition to their award-winning bookie, where they claim to ‘offer the best odds’ (we’ll check that out later), they offer their punters the opportunity to play on a wide variety of live markets. They also have a casino and a live casino, which offer hundreds of different games from the industry’s best providers. It translates to three languages – English, Swedish and Norwegian.

Design & Layout

One look at the site’s homepage and you immediately know what Toto2 is all about. There is a single ad that takes up the width of the page which rotates between sports betting (the World Cup at the time of the review) and trot betting. Below these ads are four one-click buttons that transport you directly to either ‘Trotting’, ‘Odds’ (sports), ‘Casino’ or ‘Promotions’. A simple but effective navigation method.

The bookie follows the traditional three-column format, yet still manages to create a look that generally differs from the norm. It’s not unpleasant on the eye, in fact, it looks pretty good – with a no-frills, minimalist design on a blue background. Those who like their betting sites with bells, whistles and fancy graphics may find it disappointing but those, like us, who like them to be intuitive, functional and to-the-point will approve.

As ever, they utilise the left sidebar for listing all the sports, leagues and events for which they offer betting markets. First up is a block of four headings that list the ‘Most Popular’ markets at that moment in time. At the time of the review, they were ‘World Cup 2018’, ‘Formula 1 2018’, ‘Baseball (MLB)’ and ‘Tennis’. A single click on any them, in conventional fashion, fills the main body of the page with upcoming fixtures or races and the related betting info.

Below the ‘Most Popular’ section, all the different sports on offer are listed (more on those later) with a single click on any line opening up a country-by-country sub-menu listing. Again, a single click fills the main body of the page with either a list of pending matches or, in the close season, an ‘outright’ listing of teams and their odds of winning the league or competition. This configures nicely, and clever use is made of the main body in the way it seamlessly flits between different formatting for different sports. And it’s rapid.

Included in the long list of sports is ‘Price Boost’, which does precisely what it says on the tin. Toto2 pick a selection of bets from the next two days’ activity – at the time of our review they had selected six World Cup fixtures – and simply give the currents odds a hefty boost. Always worth a look.

The main body of the page defaults to the main events of the day – headed by the day’s football matches – with some nice graphics used to whet the collective appetite for the day’s fixtures.

Below the football matches, there are blocks of the other sports of the day – which can also be located using a nifty horizontal menu – with each betting line on the page being a single click away from opening it up to all the different bets available for that event.

If live betting is your thing, then the page configures in a very similar way, but the right sidebar is used to give live updates – both through a very nice match tracker (that cleverly updates you on incidents and the whereabouts of the ball) and some up-to-the-minute statistics. It’s very good – right up there with the best on the web and makes up for the lack of live streaming.

When it’s not being utilised as a conduit between the live action and the punter, the right sidebar defaults to its more traditional form of being home of the betting slip. Nothing flashy, but it does the job well and is regularly updated to offer the bettors a ‘quick bet’: a selected bet for the day that can be taken on with a single click with three choices of stake. EG. ‘World Cup – Trebles: England, Senegal & Colombia to win’ with a choice of 5, 10 or 20 Euros.

Added extras on the page – standard fare in truth – are the option of aligning the time to your own time zone and choosing between American, fractional or decimal odds.

Sports Markets & Odds

With 35 different sports and entertainment themes available, Toto2 bookmaker is competitive with the best betting sites out there, and pretty much covers the full spectrum of betting markets.

They cover both the big betting sports – like soccerbasketballice hockey, and golf – but also sports that fall in the minority category (both for spectating and for betting), such as water polo, surfing, netball and pesapallo.

Toto2 bookmaker also caters for those who enjoy betting on E-Sports with plenty of options available – Dota 2League of Legends, Counter-Strike: GO, and King of Glory among them. Also, as is now the norm, there are some fun, politics and entertainment bets.

As expected, football is their big sport and at the time of writing, they had markets for leagues and cups from 43 different countries. These range from the well-known European leagues – Spain, Germany, Italy, England etc – to competitions in smaller footballing nations like the Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan, Macao, and Vietnam. They cover the whole globe so whatever time of day or night you like to bet, there will always be some live football for you.

In terms of offering value, it has to be said Toto2 bookmaker fluctuates wildly. With the industry-standard being generally recognised as odds compiled between 105% and 106%, we were exceptionally impressed with their World Cup odds which, on the day of this review, compiled to an average of just over 102%. However, fixtures of a lower profile for which there was clearly less prior knowledge were generally closer to the 112% mark – a significant difference. So, perhaps stick to the sports/events that are high, or higher, profile.

Bonuses

In typical Toto2 bookmaker fashion, the bonuses are not plentiful or eye-catching but then one bonus they do offer is decent. Any new customers who sign up for a Toto2 account can start their betting journey with a 50 euros welcome boost – a €50 deposit is needed to attract the maximum 100%.

The only downside is that this is only available for customers residing in Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Canada. The minimum deposit to take part in the offer is €10/10CHF or 100SEK/NOK and the maximum €50/50CHF or 500SEK/NOK.

As ever, there are a few boxes to be ticked in order to qualify: there is a turnover requirement for the qualifying bonus (capped at €50 or currency equivalent) of 7 times, and bets on odds lower than 1.85 do not count towards the wagering requirement. Also, players who use Skrill or Neteller to credit their accounts cannot receive the welcome bonus.

Note: Registered users are periodically emailed new, ad-hoc offers.

Responsible Gambling

Toto2 bookmaker takes this aspect of gambling seriously and devotes some words to it at the foot of the site. They acknowledge that gambling can become a problem if the bettor ‘loses control’ and encourage all of their players – especially pertinent for those who consider they may be at risk – to use the gaming limits on their accounts to set limits on deposits, losses, wagering and time. These can be set daily, weekly or monthly

Additionally, they encourage bettors who feel they have lost control of their gambling, and for whom the game limits are insufficient, to contact their customer service for specialist help. And finally, they offer a couple of online helplines.

Customer Services

This is another area where Toto2 bookmaker excels. All you need from their customer services team is neatly packaged in a small ‘Support’ icon at the top right of the site. One click opens up a box that gives four options: live chat, email, FAQs, and verification.

The live chat service is offered 24/7 and, from our experience, is simply excellent – helpful, friendly and swift – and even if there is no agent available, the email service also works well with, also in our experience, same-day responses.

The FAQs too are very good and, in truth, cover most areas of potential concern and often negates the need to head to the live chat or email (support@toto2.com). The verification tab is also very informative and gives the punter all the info needed to register for betting with Toto2.

All in all, we found it to cover all bases, the only complaint being there is no telephone helpline. But this is a very minor gripe given the rest of the help services on offer to their customers.

Mobile & Tablet

As you would expect, Toto2 is a mobile-optimised site and if you prefer betting on the go – either on a smartphone or a tablet – you will find a very good configuration that is essentially a mini-version of the desktop site. It works nicely for both iOS and Android and offers a good betting experience in terms of navigation, responsiveness, and clarity. There are no apps available but given that the mobile optimization works very nicely this is not a major problem.

Restricted Countries

The list of restricted countries is a long one, so it’s easier to tell you from which countries you can bet on Toto2 from. The main ones are Scandinavian countries, Canada, New Zealand, Malta, Poland, Croatia, and Iceland.

Payouts

Cash-out is an automated process with Toto2 bookmaker and so in the normal scheme of things this is generally expected to be at the speedy end of the scale – payouts generally processed within 24 hours. There was no online negativity regarding Toto2 payouts, which is always a good sign.

Final Verdict

In a nutshell, Toto2 bookmaker is very good. It doesn’t come with too many bells and whistles but it’s neat, tidy and, most important of all, it delivers. It looks good but behind the looks is some serious substance, all backed up by some very slick and robust software.

The wildly fluctuating odds may have been a tad confusing but there was undoubtedly value to be had with a little bit of research. The depth of markets is decent, so too is the variation of sports. The bonuses and promotions are on the conservative side but all-in-all, we’d definitely recommend giving it a look.
