1Bet2Bet Bookmaker Review

Not Approved by SBO.net

However after failing to catapult themselves into punters’ consciousness, the company have rebranded, improving their website and services to punters. Is this change big enough to help 1Bet2Bet compete with the industries elite?

Website

The 1Bet2Bet landing page is certainly an encouraging start and gives a positive first impression. Slick graphics, well-spaced out images and large text alluding to the 250Euro bonus (more on that later), is enticing. A black, gold and white theme is used throughout the majority of the site, with the image of a packed football stadium providing the backdrop. From a design perspective, thumbs up.

When clicking on the bookmaker area of the site, users are greeted with a list of sports down the left hand menu, live betting odds in the centre of the page and the range of promotions on the right hand side. The login section is conveniently placed at the top of the page, alongside the ‘chat’ function and the odds format (customers can choose decimal, fractional or American). Perhaps the most impressive feature is the number of different languages that the site can be translated to – 30 to be precise. Whilst the accuracy of each translation cannot be verified, it is a nice touch and shows the firms’ willingness to try and expand their horizons and gain clientele from around the world.

1Bet2Bet have developed an intuitive and easy to navigate mobile web app that enables customers to strike bets whilst on the move. The mobile site is responsive and the different sports and markets can be accessed with a swipe of a finger.

Markets

In total there are twenty two different sports listed on the site – a comprehensive number by industry standards. In addition to the mainstream revenue earners– football, American football, rugby, cricket etc. the more marginal events such as surfing and table tennis are also covered. There is even room for a novelty bets section which covers politics and reality TV etc. Horse racing and greyhound racing are the only two noticeable absentees, but it is a large operation to offer these events (especially horse racing), and many bookies opt, or are unable to do so.

The layout of the football markets is extremely organised. All of the most popular leagues are listed at the top of the page in yellow, with the rest of the leagues organised beneath by region. Coverage spans from as far as the Irish 2nd division to the Bolivian Premier League and the format makes identifying odds for desired matches very easy.

NFL, college football and the Canadian CFL are all covered. The money line, spread and over/under bets are on offer for all matches. Boxing is often a sport which is overlooked, but not with 1Bet2Bet. At the time of review, there were odds for 19 different match ups, which compared favourably to Ladbrokes (17), William Hill (9), although falls short of industry leader Bet365.

Odds

Assessing the average of odds 3 different football matches from leagues around the world, the 1Bet2Bet average book came to 106.5%. This didn’t compare to football gurus Bet Victor, whose average came out at 103.2%, but was slightly better than Ladbrokes whose same three matches averaged out at 107%. If the bookmaker had no built in profit margin, when converted to percentages then the total sum of odds would equate to 100%. The odds on offer with 1Bet2Bet are certainly competitive, if not market leading.

Like some other new betting firms, the odds are displayed in a decimal format. For the less experienced bettor, seeing obscure numbers and odds such as 4.97 instead of 5.00 can be a little off-putting and it would make minimal difference for 1Bet2Bet to round up or down marginally to make their prices more customer friendly.

Promotions

In an attempt to try and attract new custom, 1Bet2Bet offer a massive sign up bonus of 250Euro. This is a 50% promotion, so customers receive half of what they initially deposit in their account up to the 250Euro limit. For instance a 100Euro deposit would produce and 50Euro bonus etc.

In order to withdraw the bonus, the initial deposit amount and the bonus must be rolled over several times, with the number varying depending on which country customers are from. Those registering from the UK, Ireland, Germany etc. are required to rollover the funds five times, but customers from Eastern Europe have to turnover their balance up to eight times. This is most probably due to a higher incidence of bonus abuse/bonus bagging from individuals in those regions.

The wagering requirements are quite substantial, but so is the bonus on offer. Requirements for a multi-rollover of funds is become more common with new betting firms who wish to attract customers, but don’t want their promotions exploited.

Customer Services

There are various mediums through which customers can contact 1Bet2Bet to discuss their account. The website offers a contact form, several email addresses, two telephone numbers and a live chat function. This is considerably more than some of the competition and brings a transparency to the service which instils confidence in punters. The live chat function wasn’t immediately answered, but when a customer service agent did connect, they were courteous and helpful. A thumbs up for this department.

Payments

The number of different payment options are fairly limited. All of the usual major bank cards (Visa debit/credit, Mastercard, Maestro) are supported, as well as cheques and bank transfer. There are only two further alternative methods of deposit – Skrill and WebMoney. Most bookmakers offer additional e-wallet solutions, prepaid cards and virtual visas to fund accounts, so this is certainly an area that could be improved.

Overall

Although 1Bet2Bet are not a household name, they are most certainly recommended. A well put together site and responsive mobile web page gives a positive first impression, which is further reinforced by the large number of markets and sports that are covered by their odds compilers. A solid customer services section and a large sign up bonus are further positives. If nit-picking, the number of payment options available to customers could be increased, as there are only two e-wallet facilities that can be used to fund accounts.

It is difficult for new betting companies to establish themselves in the market and although the initial sign up bonus is 250Euros, 1Bet2Bet may be wise offering more regular and innovative promotions and bonuses to try and differentiate from the competition.
